Eating healthy doesn’t have to mean eating bland food!

Our group cooking classes and team building activities at Selfup NYC are an exciting way to try out new ingredient combinations and learn innovative recipes in a social and inviting group setting. As a team, you will create a wholesome main entrée and a side dish from scratch that will nourish your mind, body, and soul.

To start off the team-building activity, our renowned chefs will teach you the basics of creating an ancient grain farro-based salad. Farro has a handful of health benefits and is packed with protein and fiber, which makes it a great substitute for other common, less nutritious starches such as rice and potatoes. In this cooking class, you’ll pair it with an assortment of herbs and fresh tomatoes for a refreshing starter to your main dish. This versatile grain is so delightful to eat that you’ll be dying to include it in your future dishes for added texture and nutrients.

For the main dish, you’ll utilize zoodles–also known as zucchini noodles–which you’ll form from scratch. Zucchini noodles are a fantastic noodle alternative to other carb-loaded noodle options that contain gluten. Zucchini noodles provide nutrients you won’t find in regular pasta, and their texture offers a unique spin on traditional-style noodles. To top it all off, you’ll be guided through making a delicately creamy avocado pesto sauce. All this yummy and healthy goodness is to be accompanied by fresh sautéed shrimp to create a more dynamic and flavorful dish.

We want to encourage food lovers to practice mindful eating, and team-building activities provide a space to share knowledge on how beneficial and adaptable healthy foods truly are. Farro Salad with Fresh Herbs & Tomatoes
Nutritious ancient grain farro tossed with fresh herbs and ripe tomatoes for a light, refreshing starter packed with flavor and texture.

Zucchini Noodles with Avocado Pesto & Sautéed Shrimp
Freshly made zucchini noodles tossed in a creamy avocado pesto sauce and paired with tender sautéed shrimp for a vibrant, wholesome main course.

Cancellation and rescheduling requests can be made up to 30 days before the event.

If a cancellation or rescheduling request is made within 30 days of the event, we can only issue a 50% store credit.

If a cancellation or rescheduling request is made less than 7 days before the event, no refund or store credit will be issued.

If a guest in the party can no longer come, this is considered a cancellation. Cancellation rules apply to guest count.

Additional Notes:

Maximum number of reschedules for both private and public bookings is limited to 2.

All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be made in writing via email at support@selfup.com. All phone calls will be redirected to writing an email.

All events which have been rescheduled are no longer eligible for a cancellation.

All events to which the guests are 25 minutes late or more will be considered a no show and the ticket cost will be forfeited by the client.

There will be no exceptions to these rules.

If we cancel a class for any reason, we will provide a list of similar times for rescheduling. If this does not suit the guest's needs, Selfup will provide a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, instructor illness, or low enrollment.

If a participant is unable to attend a class, they may transfer their registration to another person.
